Ambassador Daniel Taub joins Emunah for lunch
25 January 2012
His Excellency Daniel Taub, Ambassador of Israel to the Court of St James’s, received a warm welcome at Emunah’s lunch held on Tuesday at Hampstead Garden Suburb Synagogue.
Addressing an audience of nearly 300 people, he said: “I have many fond memories of this shul when I was growing up; I feel less like an ambassador, more like a bar mitzvah boy!”
Accompanied by his wife, Zehava, he praised the charity’s “incredible work” with underprivileged children and recalled meeting Emunah women on missions to Israel.

Talking of his ambassadorial role and experiences with the United Nations, he said: “There are a lot of issues that are unique to a Jewish state.”
Committee co-chairs, Michelle Hirschfield and Esther Lee, said that educational equipment was being donated to the Libie and Louis Taub Therapy Room at Emunah’s Neve Landy Children’s Village. National chairman, Camille Compton, gave the vote of thanks.
