What is the ERM?

The ERM (Exporters Requests Management) system allows us to process your enquiries about doing business in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. The link is: http://www.moital.gov.il/erm.

We are not allowed to answer any enquiry via email, as every request needs to be filed in a complex database and monitored by the Ministry of Trade and Labour in Israel.

However, we are happy to provide clarifications about our response via telephone or email.

The contact details of the relevant person in the Trade Office will be provided with the ERM answer.

Still, if you have to request completely new information or contacts (even if on the same product), you have to fill in a new form.

This process is quick and simple and the toll-free number 1-800-200-560 is there to assist you in case you need help.

What we can do

We can provide you with useful information that will hopefully help you to market your product/service in the UK.

From our databases and researches, we can retrieve:

  • Lists of distributors, consultants, retailers, suppliers, manufacturers, etc. These lists include very useful data, such as contact details and profit/sales of a company. You can go through it with your team and define your targets.
  • Information about organisations and associations that we believe will help you establish the right connections
  • Information on fairs and events that we think would be of interest for you to attend
  • Contacts of agents the Embassy has worked with in the past
  • Useful links and publications (if applicable)
  • If you already know exactly who to contact (max. 5), we can send the company an email introducing you and hopefully paving the way to a business relationship.

We will also send you an invitation to be published free of charge in our Business Opportunities from Israel Newsletter briefly explaining who you are and what you are selling.

What we can’t do

  • We are not business developers. We cannot know who the right partner for you is. We can give you a list to analyse, but you have to go through it yourself and tell us who you want to contact.
  • We don’t do market research, but most of the time we can redirect you to other sources which do.
  • We can give you information and contacts, but we cannot sell your products in the UK on your behalf.
  • We do not send letters to companies, but we use emails and phone calls.
  • We can’t answer enquiries regarding Ireland. For these, please contact our Embassy in Dublin on +353 (1) 230 9415.

Please provide as much information as possible when filling in the ERM form, especially regarding the previous attempts to enter the British market or the current business ties.
